This photo was made in my absolute favorite area for fall photography in Utah. The hike is a quick, easy trail, but on this morning a storm was blowing through, and the sun would occasionally break through the clouds forcing me to stop to make some photos!
Eventually I made it to the falls and started thinking about the photo I wanted to make. The color of the leaves was just about perfect, and I was really drawn to the water flowing amongst the rocks. The perfect angle required me to take off my shoes, and stand in the freezing cold water to setup this shot. The clouds overhead provided the perfect flat light to capture the incredible colors of the leaves as well as the moss on the fall itself.
